My Background
Who am I?
My name is Isabelle, and I come from southwestern France. As a passionate French as a foreign language (FLE) teacher, I have been working with adults from all walks of life for over 10 years.
With a Master’s degree in FLE and as a DELF/DALF examiner, I offer personalized French lessons that combine methodology with a human-centered approach. I also speak English and Spanish.
I lived for over 15 years in Reunion Island, a French overseas territory known for its cultural diversity. Today, i continue this journey in the French Basque Country, another land of character and strong traditions.
Why iLang?
Ilang was founded in 2012 in Réunion island, built on a rich and varied background : from travel-related events to adult education and training, as well as the social and solidarity economy.
Above all, my travels abroad have nurtured my passion for self-discovery and understanding others. Living far from home and facing the unknown allowed me to better understand my strengths, recognize my limits, and dare to reveal a new version of myself.
These experiences naturally led me to teach French as a foreign language (FLE) in Réunion island, then to start my own business, before designing tailor-made immersive language programs for international french learners.
Inspired by the ylang-ylang tree, an iconic plant of the Indian Ocean, the name iLang evokes a delicate fragrance that invites you to travel. Its soft sound resonates with languages and communication.
Like a language, a fragrance is discovered and revealed through subtle nuances: it leaves a unique imprint, different for each individual.
This idea reflects my approach: tailor-made French learning experiences, rooted in meaningful encounters and cultural exchange.
Today, iLang supports adults in learning French to help them :
